I just recently built my store, completed every step then read a message that my EIN doesn’t match the name. So I thought perhaps I made a mistake, I double checked the IRS form (SS-4) I received validating my EIN. I even called the IRS today, explained my issue and was told the issue has to do with Shopify not them (everything is correct). So I entered the information for the 6th time today and another pop-up message saying the same thing. Clearly there’s something wrong, and it’s not with the IRS or the correct information I’m submitting . There’s no option to upload IRS attachments like there is in this chat. I could be selling products today but this is holding me up. Shopify makes things complicated and user unfriendly. Can someone please help me? This is so ridiculous.
