Improve this question I am discovering Stack for the first time and I have some doubts that I would like to clarify about the creation of my new personal website. Recently, I started working on a site managed with Local by FlyWheel, using Wordpress 6.4.3 and PHP 8.1.23, with nginx server. According to an article I found in a portal, to host this page in my GitHub account as a repository, I needed to configure Multisite>Subdirectories. This gave me some doubts, as I had never used this configuration before and I'm not sure if the problem I'm experiencing is related to this action. After a while, I managed to add the local archive to my GitHub account as a free host, following the advice of a friend who is a computer scientist and whom I trust. However, my problem is that when I update data in the WordPress admin, I don't see the GitHub directories updating correctly. In researching how to fix this, I found that I should use the following functions: git commit -m "message" to add comments to the changes. git push -u origin master to update the repository. However, as I'm new to Git, I'm having difficulties to fully understand these actions. From what I've read, the git commit function is used to add comments, but I'm not sure exactly what comments they are referring to. Also, in the local folder, the items I added in the manager are not being added. In short, I'd like to understand how to make sure that what I do in the WordPress admin is updated correctly in my GitHub repository. I also want to know what considerations I need to take into account when adding more information to my WordPress theme. I don't want to run the risk of the work I'm doing on my theme not being properly reflected in the repository. Please note that I am new to this area, and while I know many of you are more experienced than I am, I would appreciate your understanding. I started adding comments to the message with the Commit command, but no matter what comments I added, it didn't work at all. Finally, I gave up on this command and started using the master command, and it always says the following: "Everything up-to-date branch 'master' set up to track 'origin/master'" results
