I'm working on a WordPress site that explores spiritual meanings and symbolism of various aspects of life, including birds, animals, and human body parts. The site uses custom HTML and CSS for displaying symbolic images, but recently, I've encountered a strange issue: images are loading either partially or are cropped on certain pages. Here's what I've observed: The issue occurs inconsistently (sometimes images load fine, but other times they don't). I'm using responsive image sizes, but this problem persists across multiple browsers. I have optimized the images for faster loading. Here's a code snippet that I'm using for the image display: <img src="example.jpg" alt="Spiritual Symbolism" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;" > I suspect the problem may have something to do with the CSS or image rendering. Could this be an issue with how the images are defined in the HTML or CSS? Or is it related to how WordPress manages the media files? I tried adjusting the image dimensions and switching to different CSS properties like width: 100% and height: auto. I expected this to make the images load fully and scale properly, but the problem persists, with images sometimes loading cropped or partially visible.

This is a WordPress issue. It is actually a feature of WordPress that generates thumbnails with smaller size so that it is load faster. However, thumbnails are usually generated with fixed size, and therefore they are usually cropped. To fix this, you can either: Load the image in full size. You may need to change theme settings or customise theme to achieve this. Change the existing image size so that it make the image smaller proportionally without cropping. Again, you will also need to customise the theme. This is what I can guess from your input. It would be better if you can send a link or at least a screenshot to demonstrate the issue.
