Improve this question I am hosting a WordPress website on Hosteasy servers and need to update the .htaccess file. However, whenever I try to save changes to the .htaccess file, nothing happens. The changes are not being saved, and the file remains unchanged. What did you try and what were you expecting? I tried several methods to save the .htaccess file: 1.Editing the file directly via the Hosteasy file manager. 2.Using an FTP client to download, edit, and re-upload the file. 3.Changing file permissions to ensure that it is writable. I expected the changes to be saved after editing the file, but the .htaccess file remains unchanged regardless of the method used. How can I resolve this issue and successfully save changes to the .htaccess file?
