How to shrink the logo of a website on chrome?

Good morning, i'm Lorenzo Paris I own a blog about machine learning called inside algorithms and i'm hosting it on hostinger with wordpress. I'm using the latest version of the blocksy theme. Everything is fine but i have a problem with the size of the website logo in the profile of the site that shows on google. I can choose a file to be both the icon on top where the panel is and the profile that shows in the browser near the post title. (appearence > customize > syte identity > site icon) But right now with the photo i have, the icon on top isn't too small, but the logo on google is too big and it doesn't fit. If i shrink the logo in the png file, the icon on top will be too small. Icon on top Site profile on google There is not a way to select different files for the two logos or maybe to adapt the size? Thank you for your support

The "Icon on top" image is most likely a .ico (icon) file. The "Site profile on google" image is simply the upper left crop of your huge header image: https://www.insidealgorithms.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/bloglogo_white-2048x549.png.webp. If you explicitly set the smaller image as your site's .ico icon image in WordPress, it should start showing in Google.

You’ll be in good company
