Fresh install wordpress admin redirecting

I've searched this extensively and the popular solutions don't seem to be working for me. I have a fresh install of Wordpress in a docker-compose application. After the initial install, I click login and it redirects to https://wordpress/wp-admin/. This is clearly wrong. I checked the database, cleared my browser cache and cookies, and check the root level .htaccess, all to no avail. mysql> select * from wp_options where option_name in ('siteurl', 'home'); +-----------+-------------+-----------------------+----------+ | option_id | option_name | option_value | autoload | +-----------+-------------+-----------------------+----------+ | 2 | home | https://example.com | yes | | 1 | siteurl | https://example.com | yes | +-----------+-------------+-----------------------+----------+ .htaccess # BEGIN WordPress RewriteEngine On RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}] RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] # END WordPress In wp-config.php define('WP_HOME', getenv('TARGET_URL')); define('WP_SITEURL', getenv('TARGET_URL')); For good measure, docker-compose.yml wordpress: build: context: ./wordpress volumes: - ./wordpress/wp-config.php:/var/www/html/wp-config.php - ./wordpress/wp-content:/var/www/html/wp-content - ./wordpress/wp-cli.phar:/usr/bin/wp expose: - "80" ports: - "127.0.0.1:8000:80" environment: WORDPRESS_DB_HOST: ${WORDPRESS_DB_HOST} WORDPRESS_DB_USER: ${MYSQL_USER} WORDPRESS_DB_PASSWORD: ${MYSQL_PASSWORD} WORDPRESS_DB_NAME: ${MYSQL_DATABASE} WORDPRESS_DEBUG: ${WORDPRESS_DEBUG} DOMAIN_NAME: ${DOMAIN_NAME} TARGET_URL: ${TARGET_URL} extra_hosts: - ${DOMAIN_NAME}:${PUBLIC_IP} depends_on: - db - redis labels: logging: "promtail" logging_jobname: "containerlogs" restart: unless-stopped Nginx conf. Ignore the port map to 8000, that is for internal testing. The application connects nginx via the docker network on port 80. server { listen 443 ssl; server_name ${DOMAIN_NAME}; client_max_body_size 64M; ssl_certificate /etc/letsencrypt/live/${DOMAIN_NAME}/fullchain.pem; ssl_certificate_key /etc/letsencrypt/live/${DOMAIN_NAME}/privkey.pem; include /etc/letsencrypt/options-ssl-nginx.conf; ssl_dhparam /etc/letsencrypt/ssl-dhparams.pem; proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host ${DOLLAR}host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP ${DOLLAR}remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For ${DOLLAR}proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host ${DOLLAR}server_name; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto https; location / { proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_set_header Upgrade ${DOLLAR}http_upgrade; proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade"; proxy_pass http://wordpress; } }
